Terms of Sale

These Terms of Sale apply to every purchase made on traditionalitalianrecipes.food and its subdomains (the "Website"). Please read them before you buy. By placing an order you accept them.

1. Who we are

The seller is Roberto Monti, a sole trader based in Italy, VAT number (Partita IVA) IT04215771207. Contact: info@traditionalitalianrecipes.food.

2. Our products

We sell digital cookbooks, "The Taste of Sicily" and "The Taste of Naples", and optional digital add-ons and regional cookbooks (for example "Host Like a Sicilian", "Host Like a Neapolitan", "The Taste of Calabria", "Calabria Essentials" and Abruzzo regional cookbook upsells). All products are digital PDF files. We do not ship any physical item.

3. Prices and taxes

We may change prices or run promotions at any time, but a change never affects an order you have already paid for.

Prices are shown in US dollars (USD). Applicable taxes, such as VAT or sales tax, are shown at checkout before you pay. Your bank or card issuer may charge currency conversion fees, which we do not control.

4. Payment

Payment is made at checkout by card through Stripe, or through PayPal. We never see or store your full card details. Your order is complete when payment is confirmed.

5. Delivery

To open the files you need a device that can read PDF documents. You are responsible for having a suitable device and internet connection.

Delivery is by email, with a download link sent immediately after payment to the address you give at checkout. Please enter it correctly and check your spam folder. If you do not receive the email within a few minutes, contact us and we will send it again.

6. No refunds and loss of the right of withdrawal

Because our products are digital content delivered immediately, all sales are final and we do not offer refunds.

Consumers in the European Union normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance purchase. By ticking the checkbox at checkout, you expressly request immediate delivery of the digital content and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery begins. This is permitted by Article 16(m) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU and Article 59(1)(o) of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005).

This clause does not exclude or limit any rights you have by law. If your file is defective, damaged or not delivered, email us at info@traditionalitalianrecipes.food and we will send you a working copy.

7. Licence and copyright

All content, including recipes, text, photographs, layout and design, is the copyright of Roberto Monti. When you buy a product, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it for your own non-commercial purposes. You may keep it on your own devices and print it for your own use.

You may not resell, share, publish, upload or distribute the files or any part of them, or use them commercially, without our written permission. We may take action against unauthorised use.

8. Recipes, allergies and food safety

The recipes are for home cooking. You are responsible for checking ingredients for allergies and dietary needs, for handling and cooking food safely, and for adjusting recipes to your own health, equipment and circumstances. Cooking times and results can vary. If you have a medical condition or food allergy, please consult a professional.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from how you prepare or eat food made from our recipes. Our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the price you paid for it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your mandatory statutory consumer rights.

10. Order problems and support

If something goes wrong with an order, such as a missing email, a payment that was taken twice, or a file that will not open, write to us with your name, the email used at checkout and the order date. We aim to reply within two business days, and we will do our best to fix the problem quickly.

11. Your personal data

We handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of Italy. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live, and you may also bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence where the law allows. Consumers may also use their local alternative dispute resolution (ADR) bodies or consumer protection agencies. We would prefer to solve any problem directly, so please contact us first.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order. The date at the top shows the latest update.
